Applications
Built for ADAS. Ready for tomorrow.
AWEARE radar isn't a category-specific product. The same waveform serves automotive ADAS, fleet operations, light-rail anti-collision, civilian aerospace and security perimeters. The pages below describe the four verticals where AWEARE has active engineering and partnership work.
ADAS feature coverage
AWEARE empowers the next generation of safety systems.
- AEB Automatic Emergency Braking
- ACC Adaptive Cruise Control
- LKA Lane Keep Assist
- TJA Traffic Jam Assist
- BSD Blind Spot Detection
Automotive ADAS
Phantom braking CAN BE a solved problem.
ADAS features that depend on radar — automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise, lane-keep, traffic-jam, blind-spot — are all gated by the false-positive rate of the underlying radar. AWEARE drops that rate by ~80% with the same 24 GHz hardware, then 90%+ with the 2027 next-gen waveform.
- Fewer phantom-braking events (the public Tesla incidents are the canonical case)
- Higher detection confidence for AEB / ACC / LKA / TJA / BSD
- Lower compute requirements downstream — fewer ghosts to filter, less scene-building AI

Trucking & light rail
Sees through fog, rain, and darkness.
Existing camera and LiDAR perimeter systems fail in the conditions that matter most. AWEARE radar works regardless of visibility because it doesn't depend on visible light at all.
- Anti-collision + obstacle detection at speed
- Predictive maintenance through radar-driven vibration & wear analytics
- Central control & safety platform for fleet or yard-scale deployment
Active conversations with light rail operators.
Defense & aerospace
Export-approval and Asia civilian-aerospace work in 2026.
AWEARE Global AG is pursuing export approval and civilian aerospace opportunities in Asia. The same waveform that minimises automotive ghosts also discriminates real airframe returns from chaff, multipath and clutter — a long-standing radar problem.
- Civilian aerospace situational awareness
- Counter-UAS detection (the team includes the inventor of DRONEKILLER®)
- Naval and harbour-perimeter applications
DRONEKILLER® is deployed around the globe by allied forces; team members were on its core engineering team.
Security & surveillance
Perimeter detection that doesn't blink.
Camera-only perimeters fail at night and in bad weather; pure-radar perimeters generate too many false alarms to be operationally useful. AWEARE + camera fusion produces clean, all-weather, all-darkness intrusion detection without the alarm-fatigue overhead.
- All-weather, all-darkness coverage
- Radar + camera fusion (cleanest data of any sensor pair)
- Better perimeter integrity at lower operating cost
Sensor-fusion approach informed by Liu et al., NeurIPS 2023.
